Srinivas School of Architecture has won INTACH Heritage Award For South Zone For Heritage Documentation 2017

Indian National Trust For Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has initiated a nationwide Heritage Award Programme for excellence in documentation of unprotected Heritage Structures in India. The INTACH Heritage awards programme is established with an objective to encourage intrest and talent of students for the understanding and Documentation of Heritage buldings, and also to develop and promote sensitivity and awareness amongst students of Architecture across the country.
Students of Srinivas School of Architecture, Valachil Mangaluru under the guidance of Prof Subhash Basu received the "Award of Merit (South Zone)" for the second consecutive year for documenting ZEENATH BAKSH MASJID at Bandar, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district on April 18, 2018 in India International Centre, New Delhi. The objective of the competetion was to promote documentation of Heritage buildings and sites of Historic Architectural and Cultural significance. Students from all architectural colleges across the nation Participated for this competetion. A team of six students namely Akshay Kumar, Santhosh Prabhu, Rajath, prajwal Prakash, Adithya Hebbar & Harsha Raj extensively worked for this National level competetion. The Award function ceremony was organised by Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Heritage Academy, Dr. Sachichidananda Saha, who worked extensively on coservation of Angkor Wat, Cambodia and Shri LK Gupta, Chairman of INTACH, India and Dr. C.T. Mishra Member Secretery of INTACH were present Guests of the event.
Eminent architects, Head of Schools, Teachers, Academicians, Professionals and students of Architecture participated in the event in large number.
