Architecture students of Srinivas institute of Technology (SIT) Valachil, Mangaluru under the guidance of Dr.Shaila Bantanur received the “Award of Merit”(south Zone) for documenting  Gurubasadi at Moodaboidri,  DakshinaKannada on September 17, 2016 aty New Delhi. A team of six students namely Vikas.S, Nidhish.G.Kotian, Sanketh.P.Bharathish, RamKumar.P, Akshay Kumar G.K and Santhosh Prabhu extensively worked over a one month for this National level Competition. Indian National Trust organized it for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), in collaboration with Council of Architecture (COA) National Institute of Advanced Students in Architecture (NIASA).

Shri.Suresh Prabhu , Hon’ble Railway Minister was Chief Guest and Shri. Satyender Jain, Hon’ble Minister, Health, PWD, Transport, Industries Home and urban Development was the Guest of  Honor , Mr.Biswaranjan Nayak, President,(COA),Mr. Vijay Garg, Vice President ,(COA) along  with eminent architects. Head of Schools, Teachers, Academicians, Professionals and students of architecture participated in the event large number. The team would like to acknowledge the kind support of the Management, Principal and HOD department of Architecture.
