Archiholics 2026 – Synaera Day 2 Report
Archiholics 2026 – Synaera Day 2 Report (25th March 2026) As part of Archiholics 2026 – Synaera, Srinivas School of Architecture conducted an engaging and insightful session on Day 2 featuring Ar. Dominic Dube, Founder & Principal Architect of DDIR Architecture Studio. The session introduced students to the design philosophy and practice of DDIR Architecture Studio which reflects a unique confluence of French-Canadian and German influences, shaping a distinctive architectural language rooted in both cultural sensitivity and technical precision. Ar. Dominic Dube shared his approach to architecture as a holistic synthesis of art (nature), technology (structure), life (light), and culture (spirit). He emphasized the importance of understanding the essence of a project beyond its functional requirements, encouraging students to explore deeper experiential and contextual dimensions in design. The session offered valuable insights into the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary practice, where architecture engages with art, environment, and human experience. Students actively participated in the discussion, raising thoughtful questions on design processes, creative exploration, and professional practice. The interaction proved to be highly enriching, broadening the students’ perspective on architectural thinking and reinforcing the importance of a sensitive and reflective design approach. The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the guest by HoD, Ar. Vasudev Shet and a vote of thanks, marking yet another successful and inspiring day of Archiholics 2026.
